To transfer your FXCM LLC account
to FXCM LTD has been received. We hope to make this transition as seamless as possible.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail notifying you when your new account with FXCM LTD
has been activated. You can confirm that your account has been transferred by running a
report and checking the footer for the FXCM LTD address: Forex Capital Markets Ltd, 145
Leadenhall Street 2nd Floor, London EC3V 4QT United Kingdom.
KEY CHANGES:1. Hedging Capabilities
You now have the ability to hold opposing orders on the same currency pair (e.g.,
holding a 10K buy position and a 10K sell position on the EURUSD). Note that any
pending offsetting orders will open new positions once your account is transferred to
FXCM LTD. FXCM suggests managing or deleting your pending offsetting orders prior
to your account transfer.
2. New Ways to Close Positions
You will have the ability to close and modify orders from the “Open Positions” window.
You will also have the ability to place stops and limits on individual trades via the
“Open Positions” window. If you cannot see your “Open Positions” window, you can
activate it by going to the View menu at the top of your trading station and putting a
check mark next to “Open Positions”. You can also bring it into view simply by hitting
Alt+O on your keyboard.
3. FXCM LTD Margin Details
FXCM Micro account holders will see their margin requirements change upon transfer
to FXCM LTD, as all Micro accounts will be defaulted to 400:1 leverage.*
4. Net Stops/Limits
Note that the net stop/limit functionality is not available via the “Summary” window on
FXCM LTD trading platforms. All net stop and net limit orders on your account will be
automatically deleted during the transition to FXCM LTD. FXCM suggests either closing
all your positions prior to the transition. If you prefer, you can log into your account on
Sunday after the transition to place new stop or limit orders on individual tickets.
5. New Deposit Instructions
After moving to FXCM LTD, you will continue to be able to fund your account via
credit/debit card or bank wire; however, instructions are slightly different from FXCM
